Ok anyone else here a fan of the lost boys? I personally am a massive fan of the movie i think its fantastic and it shows the vampire genre in a whole new light, it gave vampires a fresh, young feel to them rather than the well not so young Dracula. So now with the Lost Boys 2 "The Tribe" being realsed (straight to DVD) soon all im left thinking is please for the love of god dont f**k it up! It happens so often that the sequel is to be honnest a complete failure and makes the origional seem worse to, but im just hoping that this same fate doesnt befall the cult classic that is the lost boys, i just hope that because some of the origional actors are in that it turns out good, Heres the official trailer give me your thoughts on it...

Dracula may be old, but he's still pimpin'.
The noodles bit in the original movie creeps me out a bit.

that movie proably has the two coolest things that people have said after killing someone... 1. Death by Sterio! 2. The one thing about living in santa carla i never could stomach...all the damn vampires!

Ok I got Lost Boys 2, personally, I dont think its anywhere near as good as the origional. It kinda felt like they where trying too hard. I felt they went a bit over the top with gore and sex scenes (which I guess you can expect from a vampire flick.) to try to make up for the average acting and sorta dull plot. It was pretty good compared to loads of vampire films and its pretty good if your bored and wanna curl up and watch a teen vamp film. Edgar Frog still has some epic one liners and overall its a pretty fun watch but the acting wasn't all that great, though I thought that Angus Sutherland (half brother of Kiefer Sutherland who stared as the lead vampire David in the origional.) did a really good job, plus he is completely gorgeous so that improved the movie for me Another thing, Edgar Frog has a backstory that they hint at in the movie but never explain which generally in movies gets on my nerves. I think to understand the backstory you need to read the comics which came out called Lost Boys - Reign of Frogs. I haven't got them yet so it was kinda annoying, plus the alternate endings make you feel like there will be a sequel so I don't know whats going on there. I was also sad that there was no sorta twist at the end like in the first movie when it turns out David isnt actually the head vampire, I was expecting something like that so I was a bit dissapointed when it didnt happen. I think they where trying to show what young people would act like if they where vampires nowadays and I guess its probably what they would behave like. Its a relatively good film But nothing comes close to the origional Lost Boys in my opinion. ;D
